Three Girls at a Cafe by Pietronella Peters

A lot can happen over a cup of coffee.” @cafecoffeeday And so did this story. Varun(@_varun_) and Prachi(@mantriprachi) (the co-founders) were discussing the works of Raja Ravi Varma a sunshiny morning, when the idea of giving a online store to the not so popular artists from the city that breathes arts and culture came to fore. Both the founders have closely worked with artists and creatives before and amongst varied encounters a strong need was felt for an economical, simplified and engaging avenue to accept commission work by artists and patrons alike.

Varun had quit a lucrative job in silicon valley in search of stimulus and he found the perfect muse. He dove in to create a product that would be accessible to all.

The heart of the project lied in the realization that, most artists in India struggle to make the ends meet, or give up on their passion to support their family. The foundation of the platform was built keeping in mind the artist community's choice of engaging sparingly with technology, the discrepancies in shipping, packaging and various logistical difficulties of the process. It is their sincere effort to help these artists grow by tending to the gaps.
